Magnificent Assumption Church, the fourth building to serve the oldest continuous parish in Ontario, began as a mission to the Hurons in 1728. The nave of the Gothic Revival style building dates from 1842-45 with the tower and sanctuary added in 1870-74. The church boasts a hand carved altar from 1793 and stained glass windows added between 1874 - 1882. It is currently undergoing a multi million dollar restoration. Open 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm. Handicapped Accessible. Food Available.
